The Way You Move Like Jagger (The Saturdays vs. Maroon 5) by Ryan Nellis

Hey all! Long time no post.

I’ve been busy with a new job these past few weeks, so I haven’t been able to make a lot of mashes. This one is a very simple A+B. These tracks were almost identical. It took very little to match these up. The mastering may be a little rough because the Maroon 5 acapella is a DIY. However, hopefully it’s polished enough to be overlooked and enjoyed. Any comments are more than welcome.

I heard this song last night. Yes…last night. I decided that I would take a crack at mashing it and just went wild. Remember the term, “Everything but the kitchen sink?” This is one of those mashups. Which is why the title is just, “4A” since that’s the key everything was in Mixed In Key. Is it perfect? Probably not…but I had a lot of fun making it. Like I said, I just went crazy. Hopefully it breaks up all those Christmas mashes you’ve been listening to!

There’s sort of a “theme” with this one.

Instead of making a stereotypical Christmas mashup, I decided to take a more serious approach to it. If you’re not familiar with the original T.S.O song, it’s about a battlefield on Christmas Eve in Sarajevo. While in the middle of war, they hear a cello playing a Christmas song. I thought I would go with that theme, and plug in these R.E.M vocals…it’s supposed to sound like a soldier singing to “the one he loves.”

Hope you all enjoy…and no matter what your political/religious beliefs may be…I think we can all agree that we hope our men and women in uniform can come home safely.
